This is how my fascination with mobiles began, with this mobile that I built in February 2008. The birds are made of porcelain and were fired twice, some three times since I was also experimenting with a clear glaze. In spring 2012 I’ll have the first of 3 shows for the year, and that one will be all-new mobiles.

Of the mobiles listed below only one is now available, and that’s the first image you see on the post immediately below. The ghost mobile is also available but I need a decent photo of it. Thank you so much, everyone!

Materials: Found tree branches, plexiglas and ceramic birds (some glazed), lasercut wood. The mobiles are difficult to photograph and are best viewed live at Sally Loo’s (please note that Green Branch Mobile 4 has been sold).

If you’re new to Tumblr, clicking the small arrows on the sides of the image above allows you to cycle through additional images.

 Thank you for stopping by.

She has done a few interviews for Uppercase magazine--with Ed Emberley, Paul Octavious, another for issue 13, and is also working on a very fun one for the summer issue (can't say what either of those last two are before Janine announces them). She maintains the blog A Plate A Day.
